Condensing Unit Drain Connections

The condensing unit drain is provided to remove any

condensate produced by the suction accumulator.

Condensate amounts will vary depending on

temperature and humidity.

 The condensing unit must be level front to back and

side to side to allow the condensate to drain.

 Drain lines must have1.5-inch drop per 5 feet of run

(2.5 cm per meter), and must not create traps.

 Drain termination must meet applicable codes.
